Bow Arm Morris Chair & These chairs are a direct reflection of the work done by
William Morris in England in the early 1900's. They are also
influenced by the work of Gustav Stickley here in America. Both
of the chairs feature Quadra linear leg post construction. These
posts have four quarter sawn oak boards mitered and then glued.
This construction technique best displays the oak's ray flake
which seems to wrap around the leg. Our well detailed instructions
explain three different methods of leg construction. Bow Arm Morris Chair with

English Tudor Style This English Tudor set has been influenced by a set we
found in a 1920 furniture book on English Furniture. The canted
backs and the curved armrests make these pieces very comfortable
to sit in. The double crested back lends a sense of style that
fits well on any patio or deck. Traditionally built of Teak,
they can also be made with California Redwood, White Cedar and
White Oak. These woods are excellent choices and all will weather
very well. |
